Ariens GT 16-not sure of this part...any idea what it is?

Hello,

I wondered if someone would be able to tell me what this circuit board (green) does in particular on a Ariens GT16 (late 1970s model)?

At the very top of the circuit board, there are two pieces that are "burned out." What are the chances this is causing my blades to not engage and my voltmeter to not register?

Thank you,
Mow Master

Can you tell me what the "burned out" section does on the circuit board?

If I have the correct print. It is the interlock module.Ties in with the seat switch and clutch switch. Taking a guess but probably stops the blades when you get off.Can you give me the model and serial number.

Hi Billy,

Yes, thank you.

Model is 931023

I appreciate your help.

This is what I have found so far. Item 17 is what I believe is the interlock switch. Which is what controls the switch seat and the clutch switch. I do believe this is what is stopping your blades. I would check over the PTO unit and harness. For signs of damage.

Hey Billy,

I did check over the PTO unit and harness as you suggest... I found a broken fuse (missed it before). Fixed the fuse, problem solved! Mowing beautifully now! Thank you so much for your help!
