There's a pretty girl behind every tree. Just no trees. HA HA Air spreader for fertilizer huh. How well does that work for wind drift? There are a few around here. I think they just use them for urea in the spring on wheat.

Saw the thread title and expected a political discussion! Darn, that is flat and dry. How long after application do you plant?

That is early. And fly free date is usually late sept. I don't know what it is now as no longer farming. But do not plant befor then.

Wow, I could use a week of that dry! Stand still here and water oozes I to your footprints, rains every 2 days.

Folks that have fields that big and open should have to come to TENNESSEE and farm for just one year then they would appreciate those wide open spaces.

A month or two ago, my wife and I drove from Ellsworth, NE to Gordon, an area a little ways east of where I believe Allan is.

It's a 55 mile drive, and after we left Ellsworth we drove 23 miles before we saw anyone else on the road-and that was a tractor and baler. In the entire 55 miles, we saw one passenger car, two pickup trucks, and three farm tractors on the road.

Reminds me of my time at Fort Riley, Kansas. IIRC it was 60 miles from Junction City to Topeka, then 60 miles to KC. No farms, no houses, nothing in between.

Quite a machine ! If you have posted pics. of your finished reno on the old place, I must have missed them could you re- post some ? Thanks.

(quoted from post at 17:44:04 08/30/16) Where's all the houses at?
If you look on the horizon, you'll see bunches of trees, that's where the houses are and neighbors are.
Or were before they moved to town.

Wow. Nice flat land. And I'm baling tomorrow on hills where the square bales roll away when the baler drops them here in s.w. Pa.
