I have ask this before....and had a few answers. But still lost; know of anyone that can make me a 112" belt- 4" wide.....for my corn sheller? I can get the splice at tractor supply...but dont have the tool or the belt. Doesnt need to be a new one...a good used one is fine.
Thanks.

You can also get the splice kits at T.S. But be prepared to give roughly $150.00 for the splice kit alone. You might see if a local farmer could splice it for you. Don't know if this helps, but it's a thought. As an after thought, for the corn sheller, you could punch holes in each end of the belt and use rawhide or some other cord to splice as there won't be nearly enough pull on the belt to warrant the splice kit. I used an old round baler belt that I spliced together with chap leather. It on a burr mill running to the tractor. Been 3 years leather just starting to wear. Also Colorado rubber, I think is the name makes new ones endless or with splice for cheap. I had one made 4" x 110" with splice it was under $20 I think. Had it two days later. Had to send it back and they shortened it for me for free and sent it back.

Easiest place to find a belt that size is a piece of smooth baler belt. You can trim it to width on a table saw. Any dealer that sells balers should have the tools to splice belts.

I contacted them and he needs more info.....I told them 4" flatbelt ....any info you can help me give him? Thanks.

McMaster Carr has flat belting. They mention thickness and what pulley diameter is recommended. 4" is one of their sizes.

I have some old belts from a Hesston round baler that are 4.1 inches wide and are 3 ply with some texture but not chevrons, etc. I have a tool to put in clipper lacing also. Where are you located? You said 112 inches?

Give Albright Saw Co. a call, (740) 887-3799.

We just replaced some 4" belts. One of them was 120" long and cost right at $50 complete with lacings. They should be able to make any length you need.

Holy smokes.....Im in Kansas! Thanks for the offer! I do think I found a farmer close by that has extra belting - ill try to get a fastener and the tool and get it
made...! Thanks!
