Small Square bales this year

We did 7648 1st crop squares 255 round bales. have done around 1000 2nd crop so far & have more to do.
Hoping for 1800 straw bales with a 630 & 620 John Deere & 337 Baler 4 kicker wagons.

I have 1200 small squares in the barn, but I can't get to my second cut because it has rained every couple of days for the past month. The Johnson grass has sprung up to about 3 feet tall already. That's bad. The stalks of the Johnson grass are too big and too tough for the cows to eat.

I never thought I'd want less rain in July and August, but this year I do.

JD 348, numbers way down this year only 7000 or so. Did almost 250 5x4 round bales that are normally baled as squares.

Hope to punch out another 1000 bales this weekend.

Haven't done any squares as of yet. I wait till I have a second cutting most years to do squares. At least on my place that is. I did help a friend do some with a NH276 balers and his Ford 4600.
When I do them I run a D-17 pulling a NH271. I do maybe 100-150 if I do any.
I cut the Hay with my BA Farmall which I built from 3 other tractors.
I rake with a WD45 but may switch to the VAC I just got.

Geez Tim. That kinda makes my 400 bales seem pretty pale in comparison..lol! Or course, most of mine are large round and I just make the small for the two giant plugs I have. Bob

1200 so far.. guestimating another 1000 before ending. Down from 3500 total in '15.

Bale with a 273 N.H. pulled with Jd 3020 and Massey Ferg 1180.

My hay guy just put 500 bales of 3rd cutting in my barn a couple of weeks ago. There were 600 of second cutting before that. He keeps the 1st cutting for horses, runs a couple of hundred squares for his daughter's goats and regular horse customers, then round bales the rest for his wife's horses and the ones they board. Not sure what he's using for a baler, his guy said it was some sort of high capacity baler. They use bale baskets and don't touch it until they put it on my barn floor and on the elevator to stack it in the mow. They pretty much just get one basket up when the next one is arriving. For me I just pay for it and first handle it when I feed it.

Around 4000 so far but I have a NH 65 compact so not really as many as you think. Should bale about 2000 more for season. That is about half of what I usually do. Can't hardly give it away this year so not baling as much.

Tim that is about the number our neighborhood baling ring put up through a summer including straw. All by hand. Today we put up maybe 300 at the most. The granddaughter's horses very efficiently convert them into road apples.

Put up 700 straw and about 1500 hay this year so far. Not been good hay weather here. The second cutting just got done before we got over 6" of rain this week. Have a NH 570 pulled by a 4230 or the 4250.

Made lots of rounds plus 1000 squares early in the year. Nothing for the last month, no window due to rain almost every day. Hoping to get 1000 more squares for horses on second cutting, but the weather better change fast, if I am going to have a shot at getting it done.
NH 276 baler behind a JD 5420. All hand stacked on the wagons out the back of the baler. All wagons pulled in the barns and hand stacked later as time allows.

JD 336 and Int 826. Have 8500 done 4500 to go. Have couple fields of third cutting past due, 8 or 9 fields of second pushing me and four more big fields of first yet to go. Weather has been tough here in s.w. Pa. M&W 1500 for the 120 rounds about 30 more to do.
