So I got this VAC the other day. It dose not have wheel weight on it when I got it but I have a set so thinking that wheel weights should ad to what it is worth. So am I correct or does i not add any value??
Thanks

When you get ready to sell it, place the weights beside the tractor. Offer them to your tractor buyer for their full value.

Wheel weights are worth a little extra, and I am sure that some are worth more than others, but they are worth nowhere near the $.80 to $1.00 a pound that suitcase weights will bring.

GordoSD is right. If the tractor has them already mounted the buyer won't pay much of a premium. If you make them separate and the buyer would need to find a set himself they'll become valuable in a hurry.

I looked for a full set of Ford pie weights for years, all were either far away or 750 to 1000 bucks, finally bought a tractor with a bad transmission for 500 bucks delivered...with a full set of pie weights. Weights generally have more value separate from the tractor

Depends on the tractor and brand some weights are hard to find and are in demand some not so much.Oliver and Deere weights always sell quick for me at a good price others vary.

I would make the deal when selling the tractor alone, then mention that you have wheel weights available. If they are in plain sight, they would try to get a better deal and ask you to take less one way or the other.

If you are talking about wheel weights on tractor drive tires, decreases the value to me. Shows that the tractor has been worked hard rather than being used to mow pasture.

(quoted from post at 16:44:11 08/16/16) Does that come under the heading of "sneaky"? Why not be upfront? You can always say no to an offer.

I have noticed that dealers usually remove the weights and keep them altogether.

I would think it's just a tractor doing what it's made to do.

I would think it would depend if the buyer is going to use the tractor or just take it to parades.

Back in 02 I sold my grandparents farm equipment. Grandpa had several IH weights painted yellow.

I told the auctioneer the weights were IH not Deere. He said it did not matter. He sold the weights for for $60each. The buyer soon realized the weights were not John Deere. He complained. The auctioneer resold the weights. This time as IHC. The whole pile sold for $10.
