Well, we got home ok and everything is now where it should be. Was a big trip for both me and the 2 boys. They were awesome the whole time, even tho the first 2 nights we were on the road there wasno swimming. When I asked them to go I said to bring swim suits in case there was a pool in the motels, of course they figured that meant swimming for sure. Lol The first night there was no pool and the second night the pool was closed by the time we got there. They were a bit crabby about that. So after getting everything loaded on thursday I decided to add an extra night since I was tired anyway, and then the boys could spend some time in the pool. That really made the trip for them!

So anyway, after a really nice visit with Tom in Wy. we headed to Holdridge Ne. to pick up a case 930 for my friend Wade. It is not running and he just wanted it for parts. Had to push it on with a big loader.

The boys did end up in jail for a bit while there, luckily I was able to bust them out and high tail it outa there.

Then it was to Central City Ne. for a pair of tires for Wade as well.

After that it was just another 500 miles home. We got to Wades to unload the 930 just after noon on Friday.

Then to my friend Jeff's house to unload my stuff and the cab for Scott.

The disc is a real heavy 16' for primary tillage, would do the same job as an offset but is a tandem design. Must have about a 9" or better spacing and 22 or 24" blades. I'm looking forward to putting it to work behind the 2394. The corn head is for my 1160 combine and is in like new condition. It even has paint left on the stripper plates. If I can get my combine to run we will use it on corn this fall. Should get all the paint off the plates then.

Anyway, by the time I got the trailer back it was dark last night. The trip was 2177 miles total. The stuff getter really burn some gas on this trip! I figure between 6 and 7mpg average. But the load out was against a strong wind and up hill all the way and the trip home I was at close to 20,000lbs on the trailer after the tractor was on, so not terrible. I do know where ALL the gas stations are along I-90 and I-80 now! Lol.

I celebrated a successful trip by sleeping til near 10 this morning, but then it was back to work as I have to be in Cleveland monday morning.

As a CDL driver, did you violate the GVW of the towing vehicle? I will not rat on you, but it seems kinda high!
