Mini Tractor Pullers

You guys may know about this and where I can get some information on the topic. When I visited Ontario a few years ago I went to an antique tractor show where they had a tractor pull, part of that were mini pullers. Im interested in the lawnmower machines with motor cycle engines. Have any of you guys built one of these and if so what are the issues to keep in mind. Im thinking on something like a Wheelhorse rear end and a Yamaha 4 cylinder air cooled enginge. Any thought or ideas welcome.

Bill - There is a very active garden tractor pulling group here in western NY. Tractors vary from hopped up stock 1 cylinder engines to modifieds running V-twin Kohlers, various 2, 3, 4 and V4 motorcycle engines, 2 and 3 cylinder two-stroke snowmobile engines, and 4, V6 and V8 car engines. There's even a couple "smokers" running 4 cylinder diesel refer engines.

They are pulling at our local show this Sat. Will post a few photos as time permits.
