I never heard of this invasive weed before. Don't know anything about it. I posted links to news article. Hoping others may shed more light on the weed.

I believe it is the pig weed family as is the dreaded water hemp we have here in SW MN. The water hemp here has become resistant to the round up herbicides as is palmer amaranth. It can be controlled but requires careful management with pre's down and different tank mixes sprayed early. Rod.

As mentioned, now we have round-up ready pigweed.
My cows will eat it when the plants are smaller and more tender.
