Looking at a wide set for a tractor.

My Dad has this JOhn Deere G tractor and we have taken it to a couple parades. He found an add in the Green Magazine for a wide two person type set. My question is since we have the big fenders on this tractor and there is only 44 inches from fender to fender. is there room for my dad to enter on the tractor by the back. I just wanted to ask if any of you have this type of set on your classic tractor and how do you like it. Thanks Brent

I have the seat you are asking about on a 630 John Deere. I have clam shell fenders on the tractor also. I have to get from the front. I have a John Deere step on the axle housing of the tractor so it is no problem to get on the tractor from the front. I don't know how wide the seat is, but I can measure tomorrow. It is a good seat. Well made. My wife and I ride it in the parades.
