Recently I posted a question about a highly complex John Deere pressure and flow compensated hydraulic system issue on the DEERE Forum, and got help from "Richard in New Zealand", about as far away on the earth from North Dakota (where I'm at) as you can get, and he replied and saved me a heck of lot of work and troubleshooting.

The help and camaraderie that can be found here are simply AMAZING!

Who could even have IMAGINED getting almost instant help from the other side of the world, even 25 years ago?

THANKS again, Richard!

I agree about the vast knowledge available today on tractor/implement forums. I've stated several times that it's too bad these type forums weren't available back when I served as a JD dealer service manager.

Thanks to both you, [b:654c4848f0]Tx Jim[/b:654c4848f0], and many others that "<a href="http://www.wisegeek.org/what-does-pay-it-forward-mean.htm">pay it forward</a>" every day here on the John Deere forum.

I was just talking this very subject last week with my neighbor who brought his car over to have a problems fixed. I punched it up on my smart phone, found the question answered on several forums, went to town and bought a $20 part and he was back up a going. Prior to the internet it would have been lots of head scratching, trial and error or a trip to a dealer,,or all three.

This site alone is worth more than you pay for your internet. I have learned and used many tips from here and visit it every day. Thanks to all who post!

Yes they are and many times more. Thanks to everyone here for there knowledge and input and willingness to help others.

Thanks a munch guys.

So that little o-ring was causing all of this ?

Wonder how long and how much money you would of had to spent at a dealer for this ?

Bought a ford taurus the other day. Theft light was flashing.. Talked to service manager at the ford dealership. $100 min. to put it on the computer. Got on you tube. one person said unhook the battery for a couple of days. Went further and found person said put key in lock and turn it left right left. Worked. Car started right up.

Pretty amazeing. We get to get aquainted with people all over the world and never leave our house. And draw from the infinite endless pool of knowledge. And also recieve an abundance of moral support in times of need. Thanks from Western Colorado!

It's not mine, it's a customer's and around $4000 was previously spent at the dealership with no positive results.

Thanks.

Figure that some folks might appreciate a little more information than the phone number of John Deere Publishing.

Someone out there has already "been there/done that" in most cases. People are very eager to share. This site gives us all the medium we need . Works for all.

I've learned more than a few things on these forums, and hopefully helped out a few also, BUT, I think we should quit picking at the dealerships quite so much. Much of the knowledge given out here for free was obtained by guys working their rear ends off at the dealers to figure it out and pass it along. I left a dealers ship that I did not agree with how they did their business but went to another that treated customers like people. This took place after my original boss retired and sold out to new owners.

Thank you BUT I think I've gained a lot more knowledge than I've contributed to these type forums.
