I purchased an old tractor several years ago. I know it is a Ford, and the emblem on the front has says "800". I think the serial number has been painted over, but I'm not sure I'm looking in the correct spot. How can I tell the value of the tractor?

Really hard to say with out seeing it an know which model of the 800 series it is. If it has a 4 speed transmission then it is a n 840. If it has a 5 speed it could be an 850 which does not have live PTO or a 860 which has live PTO

If it is an SOS then it cannot be an 800 series it has to be an 801. The SOS did not come out till the 801 series so it would have to be either a 871 or 881. But the SOS models at least in my area are worth maybe half what the others ones are
