Yesterday, my wife asked me how long it had been since I cleaned the clothes dryer vent.
I do this about every 6 months, but told her about one month ago.
She stated clothes were taking longer to dry and they didn't completely dry.
I went out and checked and, low and behold, a spider had built a large web around it and had it nearly completely blocked with caught lint!
I never had that happen before but will keep a closer watch.

If your dryer has a access through the front bottom it would be a good idea to pull that panel and clean out the bottom with a vacuum cleaner. Was servicing out our old one a few months ago and found evidence of a previous lint fire. Nuff said!

Thanks--good advise and I do that every 6 months. Total vent tube length is about fifteen foot of metal tube and I have a special ball brush that I use to clean it.

Always keep that lint cleaned out and run the vents outside of house. seen too many catch fire. lint is extremely flamable.
