On Saturday July 23rd I attended the Lemmon Estate sale in Ft Scott,KS...It was around 100 degrees with high humidity..The family kept some of the rarer tractors..

17-That evening less than 1 mile from the sale I attended a MSTPA tractor pull at Ft Scott....Heres John Shorten pulling his 9500 Pro-Field 1206 IH..He grew up 1 mile from where I live..

18-Danny Metcalf from Jasper,MO with his 5900 Mod getting in to a wild ride...A second or two later there was 2-3 ft air under the left rear tire..Its powered by a high rpm Brent Long 407 cube OHC IH 6 cylinder alky burner with 1 turbo..

Not pictured but a pair of F-30 IH front steel wheels sold for $100....Two pairs of F-12 rear steel sold for $110 and $150...F-20 rear steel sold for $150..

How did Warrensburg work out? Son and I got in last evening. Its hotter here. It was good to meet you.

IS it just me or do those all look pretty cheap?

As a buyer, I'd be happy with those prices.
As a seller...not so much.

It was nice meeting you guys on Friday....We had a nice time at Warrensburg Friday evening...Its a fantastic place for a pull with twin 400 ft tracks and seating for 3000 plus..They had 129 hooks..

The top picture is the pull promoter Steve Shackelford pulling his 4.1 Pro 966 IH...Due to the heat the crowd was a little sparse..

Nope. I've paid more for less. Why is all the cheap tractors four states away? That unstyled JD A would have brought considerably more if I was there and so would that weird looking lawn mower right below it.

Neat old tractors... hope those ol' girls didn't go to the scrap heap.

Was the John Seere D electric start?? Did it run?? Thanks for posting. I enjoy your finds.

Hand crank start-ran nice...They said it was a 1939?

None went to the scrapper but several will be parted out....There were (2) W-6 McCormicks,D JD,B JD,and a Pacemaker Massey that were incomplete or were already in parts but won't be scrapped..

Parting them out is cool - it lets another tractor live to see another day.

I just hate to see them crushed.
