Tooks kids projects to fair this morning and seen this interesting tractor. Never seen anything like it before. The motor is Ford(FoMoCo) and transmission say Dearborn made in England. Is this a Ford?

The Countys were built out of Ford parts. Muir-Hill also did something similar. I'm sure one of the regulars here from the other side of the pond could provide more information.

Yes, sort of. There used to by a lot of them around here but not so many now. They have a lot of traction but they take 5 acres to turn.

Starts out as a Ford 5000 then has the 4 wheel conversion put on, forget name of company. Some kept the 4 cylinder 5000 engine, others had a 6 cylinder installed.

They are fairly common in the UK. The ground they farm there is pretty hilly. It's really strange to me to see the furrows running up hill and down.

I believe they made a 5000 and a 7000 county . Neighbors had one. Could go through anything but turn well they did not .

No it just steers like a normal tractor. You can see the steering cylinder in the pic if you zoom in. Sorry for bad pic but was in a hurry.

Quite common here in the classic tractor crowd see here for lots of detail:-

Ya it's just a bad picture..so darn hot kids were wanting to leave so I took the pic on the move. I can get a better one tomorrow.

They were pretty popular around here in central NY. Also Muir-Hills which utilized much the same components, mounted into a better chasis.
Pics taken at our local tractor show on father's day weekend.
