Plan to retrieve my old JD from the west coast soon. She has a rusted through rear rim so I need to find a replacement or would anyone suggest to just weld her up somehow?

All depends on the rim, location of
replacement, cost of replacement etc.

Where on West coast?

Kind of depends upon how *bad* it's rusted. Sometimes a small patch will do. other times it will require a 'new' section
welded it. Or if too bad,a whole new rim....They are available new from a variety of sources.
