ford engines

long story, because I live in alaska and no tractors stores around and shipping cost more than the parts. I was wondering if anyone knows what Ford cars had the same ignition parts the 100 series tractors had. I have plenty of car parts stores but I need to know what parts will fit, what like wires caps points will fit the old ford tractors to the old Ford cars. I have an old NH 1046 bale wagon and the 240 ford engine it has is the same as the old 1967 F100 240 pickups. So I can get parts for that.

what old Fords had the 4 cylinder engines? Any ideas?

Pretty much any Ford automotive product that used points from 50s to early 70s was the same points. I used to keep a set for the Ford tractors and also a set for my road grader with a Ford pickup 300 six engine, then one day realized that they both were the same!

I'd check the Ford forum here on the YT site. Couple of the guys over there should know.

Napa has those parts in Echlin brand, they should be able to look it up under agricultural, tell them what hundred series tractor you have. Echlin is a decent product too. Some of the discount ignition parts for these are poor quality, buyer beware!

It would take me all afternoon to list every car the parts worked on or to find one car that all the parts fit.
So why don't we just give you the part numbers and you get them by the number.

Take the rotor. At Napa the cross reference number for the dist rotor is FA67
The Napa store in Anchorage has the part in stock for a little over $10.
That's $2 more than we pay for it down here but I assume still a good price.
You can even take these part numbers into any auto parts store and they will be able to cross to a brand they sell.

There may be some places were the counter people can look stuff up but not everywhere. I'm thinking all the old fords in the 50's that had the 4 cy engines had the same dist. and use the same cap points and other. Unlike the NH 1046 I don't think the engine would of been used on a truck put maybe so. Thanks for the list. where do you find stuff like that?

Thank everyone for there input. I posted this question in the Ford forum as one suggested. Makes sense I didn't know it was there makes sense to me. Thanks again.
