I have two garage doors on our garage both with Sears openers. One door we us often the other door has not been opened in years. Each door has the remote opener that you clip on your sun visor & also one that attaches to your key chain. How do I Sync the remotes from the opener that hasn't been used in years to the opener that I use daily. I have taken the remotes apart & they are identical inside & out. What I want to do is us both remotes that clip to the sun visor & both remotes that are on my key chains to open one door. How do I do this. Thanks in advance. Gerald

The opener on the door might have a learn/program button on it. Usually hold learn button until it flashes/blinks then hold remote button by the opener and the remote learns the frequency. I'm sure Sears has something on their website. chris

If you don't have the opener instructions I'd google it there should a lot of info about them on there. Those are likely made by Chamberlin.
Some models have a quick learn button on the back of the opener case. You push it and then push the remotes. Timing of a light coming on may be in order to ? Maybe even the back of the opener case has instructions ? Not all are alike but similar.

Look for the Sears/Craftsman product number on the openers. Sears is really good about posting their product manuals online. You didn't mention how old the openers are. If they don't have DIP switches to set the code they should be teachable.

I have a sears opener . When I needed parts I was told by the parts department of overhead door that they are made by chamberlin. My operators manual states the same. Press the learn button for the one used frequently and hold the unused remote to it .Then do the same for the other opener and remote. The receivers on the openers will learn several codes from different remotes.

Thanks for the replies. When all else fails look in the owners manual. I read the instructions & had all 4 remotes reprogramed within 30 seconds. Problem solved. Thanks again. Gerald
