Some days just do not go so good.

I did have to move tractor to get the boat out.

That is a good one, thanks for the chuckle

The engine just died, and is computerized, and scan tool is $500 for it, so will take to dealer.

I guess I get my just deserves for computer control.

Boats are fun aren't they? LOL. What seems to be the issue you're having? The weekend of August 26, me and two buddies are leaving after work for Copper Harbor in the UP. We should be there about daybreak, at which time if it is calm we will be launching a 19' boat and heading across Lake Superior to Isle Royale. About an hour and a half trip if all goes well. We will be in almost 1,000 feet of water at times!

C'mon David, don't give up that easy!

At least spend a couple days looking at it before giving up!

You might get lucky, save a grand or two!

B.O.A.T ---------- stands for break out another thousand . Got a call from a buddy of mine yesterday after noon and he is having B O A T problems AGAIN as he not only has one BOAT but TWO . He spend all spring working on the BOATS to get ready for the big day down on the river plus getting the truck and trailers ready . Then the big day arrives and off they go and usually the day ends at the end of a TOW ROPE and getting it back up on the trailer and back hone to spend each evening working on the BOAT just to do this all over again the next weekend . Yesterdays call was his 4 cyl. GM - CHEY engine is only running on three cylinders and has no spark out of the cap so i told him what to check and how to check , got the no spark at the dist. but still no fire on #3 SOOOOO he calls me today about what all could be the problem and we did the run down on that . It's Tuesday and he is getting nervous as they want to go Friday . I'll bet come Thursday i will get a call to come down and have a look to see if i can make it go . . I am sure that he has the parts as this engine is like the 9th one he has bought and put in so far . He will not take the time to take one of the ones he pulled out and do it wright the first time he just goes on the internet and buys someone else's junk.

I did get a free tow, the guy said he broke down a couple of weeks ago. He offered the guy some money, was refused and told to return the favor. That guy is even in life, I owe someone a tow.

Check the dumb stuff first. I have read most of the mh44efi posts and am taking a guess but my gut says a man of your caliber can fix it himself.

I have been told the two happiest days in a boat owners life are the day they buy the boat and they day they sell the boat , looks like one of the in between days there.

Well I have had one for 47 years and my happy days are when I can spend a few hours in it. When I am dead they can get rid of it but not before.

I used to own a 37' ketch. Sailed as far a Hawaii (twice). I was told "owning a sailboat was like having a cold shower while burning $1000 bills" - not far off, except for the phun and adventure!

A Roux-Ga-Roux is a werewolf type creature living in the folklore of Cajun French La.
He prowls the swamps of southern la.
Often used as a way to scare young children to behave.
It dates back to old France before they immigrated to Canada and eventually to southern La.

Yep, that's a bad view...

BUT decidedly better than a view with no tow-rope and only an oar to get back to shore. :)

We were in Copper Harbor a month ago looking for cooler weather, 55 degrees felt good.
