A C problems Kubota M105S

I am having problems with the AC it was working fine and the next morning it would not work, the fan works ,the light is on at that push button, the temp is set all the way cool but my problem is the compressor is not coming on and there is no fire to the compressor,I have checked the fuses under the dash under the hood and the breakers on top of the cab,put a jumper wire on the high pressure switch but it does not have any fire to it either, dont know what else to do. Thanks

Try jumping the low pressure switch. That will tell you if its low on Freon or if you have an electrical issue.

I did jump across the switch and I think that I have checked all the fuses that I can find, but I will keep looking

IMHO one of the cheapest investments you could make is purchasing a set of R134a gauges and learn how to CORRECTLY utilize them if you don't already have them. According to my Kubota M7040 tech manual there is also a fuse for AC under the hood at location "Y".

I would think the hi psi switch is normally closed,so jumping it would do nothing anyway. If your tractor has a ccot system, like most cars,(an accumulator instead of a drier) you would have a low pressure switch on the accumulator.Check for voltage there, and jump the terminals if you do.If clutch engages and it cools good=bad switch;if it engages but does not cool good=low on refrigerant. If no voltage go back to the switch,or fuse,or possible relay for the ac clutch.Maybe wiring issue also.Mark

Hello nhbalerman,

Besides checking the fuse At D, also check the relay at y,

Guido.

M7040 as pictured below and M 1055 are close to the same but your fuse is in a different location. I am with most of the other posters your low pressure switch is open because of low Freon. As the other poster says jump it and see but once you see the compressor work you will need a set of gauges to add the Freon right. Ninety percent of the KUBOTA air problems we see in the shop are folks adding too much Freon after their condenser stopped up . That system is loaded with safeguards, high pressure switch will kick out if head pressure gets too high.
