OT pumpkin seed eaters

Planted pumpins for fall. Something dug up and ate alot of the seed. Supect field mice. They ate the center of the seed and left the shell. I replanted and they did it again. Any ideas?

Sounds like crows to me. had them clear a whole field before.

Squirrels did that to my sunflowers field seed. Crows sometimes but they typically wait till they sprout then pull up the plant and eat the kernel.

Shame you can't get that mercury powder any more. coat the seeds.

Striped ground squirrels. They are rodents. Anything that will get rid of rodents will work on ground squirrels.
