I see we have lost another actress Noel Neill

Noel Neill, the first actress to play Superman?s gal pal Lois Lane onscreen, died July 3 in Tucson,
Ariz. after a long illness. Her manager and biographer Larry Ward shared a statement on Facebook,
saying that she ?maintained that bright, perky and engaging personality up until her death.?

As a kid I remember watching the Adventures of Superman
and even later if a station was playing them I usually tuned in to watch
Noel Neill

Yes, saw the announcement on facebook this morning. I never knew her name but I do remember watching the old black and white Superman series on tv. Here is a short clip of her in an early episode on youtube.

Actually no, Phyllis Coates was the first actress to play Lois Lane then was replaced by Noel Neill.

And here she is with her Nash convertible.

Not knocking her or any posters here:

But I think it's kinda sad that we pay more attention to the death of someone who merely entertained us when most people on here and elsewhere, sometimes myself included can't name the last service person who died trying to keep us free.

May she rest in peace.

Actully Noel Neill played Lois in a previous movie called (Atom Man vs. Superman 1950)
and she also played Lois in the previous serial (Superman 1948) with Kirk Alyn playing the role of Superman even before George Reeves
Phyllis Coates did play Lois in the next movie (Superman and the Mole-Men 1951)
then again for the series (Adventures of Superman 1952-1953) for the first season
Then Noel took over the role again when she replaced Phyllis Coates in the part on the TV series in the second season when Coates was offered a leading part in another TV series and left the show (1953-1957)

oldtanker I agree with you and for most part I usually don't report on actor and sports figures
deaths unless they are ones from very old well knowen shows or did something that was the 1st or no
one else did in sports
Doing my daily This Day in History I have included them only if there's no others to fill in the
catagory and I have to sift threw 100's every day as most history sites figure no one but actors and
sports figures lived after about 1900

Over the last cple of days there's been postings on theses History sites as to the first killed
during a war
One for the civil war I think and today there was one listed as the 1st US serviceman killed for the
Korean war
I omit them personally in respect to all the others whom gave their all that don't get their due attn
as they weren't the 1st or last
They are all deserving of our respect
I do however include well knowen war hero's or significant persons though
