I'm restoring my 1953 farmall super m and it has been leaking gear oil from the belt pulley seal. I was curious if i pull the 4 bolts out of the cap behind the pulley if that shaft will come out so I can replace that seal on the belt pulley or do i have to pull the whole gearbox unit to get that shaft and seal out.

two large screw drivers one on each side to pry the flange out.
careful not to damage the shims.
you will need a press to press off the bevel gear.
going back in be sure to line up the oil return holes in the shims and flange.
good time to clean out all the crud in the base of the pulley housing.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I thought you could get it out but I didn't want to tear half way into it and find out I was wrong. Thank you!
