In 2007 I bought a new truck and bought the biggest tool boxes I could find. They weren't made as well as my old delta boxes, just bigger. Never buy DeeZee competors again.

I bought a new truck in 1998 and put a Delta tool box on it. Traded trucks in 2001 and put the Delta on the new truck. Still using that same tool box in 2016.

Only wish delta made bigger boxes. I have
two long boxes on the sides and one across
the front. The front is the gold series,
stronger made.

you will pay out the nose but weather guard boxes are the only way to go. a friend borrowed a truck of mine several years ago and had an accident and flipped it at least twice. only straight piece was the weather guard box. had a small dent and some scuffs from sliding down the road

It appears to me that the damage was done by over extending the box lid when opening--perhaps dropping it and allowing the hinge to absorb the impact. Ought to have a chain or other stop inside to limit its opening travel.

I think you should put in a piece of angle iron in the inside before it gets bigger. The weld also looks a little bad to me. Stan

The front box is gold series, Not a problem. The longer side boxes didn't come in the gold series.

My deltas were great boxes and so is my DeeZee gold series. Wish someone made great larger boxes in 2007. My long boxes are 12 inches wide, vs 8 inches for all the rest on the market at the time. My 3 boxes, at the time, were over $1k.
