glyphosate for horsenettle control

I am trying to control horsenettle. How much 47% (I think that is what the jug says, I will check before I use it) glyphosate per gallon should I use? I will be spot spraying it. I am looking at a 2% solution which would be just shy of 3 oz. per gallon. Does that sound right?

When your spot spraying you need more like a 3-4% solution. I usually use 6 ounces of RU per gallon with an equal amount of surfactant.

Roundup Extended premix is 1% in a 1.33 gal. jug. That's 1.7 oz. of concentrate for the bargain price of $26.00 .

!.5 oz. to the gallon is plenty . I do 16 oz. of Gly. and 8 oz. of Crossbow in a 20 gallon spotter and it works well. Good Luck.

I turn up the kill factor when I spot spray horse nettle or sandspurs by using an 8% solution of MaxRoundup with some 2-4-D or Paraquat. I only spray the leaves and root of the plant with a very narrow pattern as this solution will kill most plants. I tried digging out horse nettle roots but that is not 100% effective. Good herbicide cocktail works best. I use my Ranger UTV and a gallon hand sprayer or the 15 gallon ATV sprayer if I'm also doing fence rows.
