We had four inches of rain yesterday. We needed it but that may have been a bit much. I spent the day fixing things on equipment - the list is shorter now.
After I got back from Harbor Freight I went in the house for a bit. I was sitting on the couch checking YT when lightening struck the tree next to the machine shed. Great. It blew bark clear across the barnyard. I might be able to salvage the tree but one of the biggest limbs needs to come out of the center. I love cutting firewood, but not trimming out large limbs. The tree is about 50 foot tall so it's going to be one of the two foot diameter branches. Yuck.
It also blew out the yard light at the milk house. I swear I am up there every six months to fix that thing. The last time I just replaced it completely. I have to get SWMBO to run the loader to get me up there. She is missing the "feather the hydraulics" technique. The trip down usually involves me hovering in space for a few feet like Wyle E Coyote holding an Acme anvil.
