Racheal recently moved to Terre Haute. Called me from a Verizon cell number 812 area code, 249-XXXX. I answered it and then hung up.

So, if anyone calls me from a restricted number or a number not all ready in my smart phone, they will have to leave a message. Racheal and her sisters won't leave me a message and I refuse to answer their calls.

I don't have the time to talk to them. It doesn't do any good. I usually get calls from card services daily, all from different numbers. geo

Yes all different numbers , I even got a call from my own number. If ever there was a law that needs to be made and enforced " it should be ilegal to program a device to make a call appear it is from another number" This should be a felony with a at least a year at hard labor.

Just tell them the government took all your money and then give them your congressman's number.

The practice of having caller ID display a phony number is called "spoofing." I totally agree with you that it should be illegal.
The phone companies DO HAVE the technology to make this impossible to do. They seem to be reluctant to implement it for some reason. I have communicated with my telephone provider about this. They seem eager to tell me about it and then shift the blame, but then they do nothing about it.
