Moles Killing My Vegetable Garden!

This is the first year I've ever had a problem with moles in my garden. They are tunneling and then end up eating the roots and stem of the plants and killing them. Where there was a plant yesterday is just a small hole today! What can I do to get rid of them before my whole garden is ruined? Thanks!

Moles don’t eat roots. They eat worms and insects. What you have is probably voles. A good dog would dig them out but he might also destroy your garden doing it. Trapping seems to be the solution.

You probably do have moles, They eat mostly grubs, but wreck a lot of other stuff on their way around. If you need a hobby trap them, if you have other things to do get the liquid at your hardware store that you spray to kill the grubs.

We had an issue with them at my folks' house and we used a pair of battery operated spikes that you place in the ground. they emit a beep every 15 seconds or so. At the same time we sprayed the yard with a solution of castor oil and dish soap. The castor oil gets into the grubs, worms, etc. and they don't like the taste and move on. Not sure which of the two did the job, but we saw immediate results with no more moles and they have been gone for nearly six months.
