Coolant Additive

I've got my Oliver 1755 apart due to coolant in the oil, and have found significant cavitation on the #6 sleeve. I'm doing a rebuild while I've got it apart, and was wondering what is the best coolant and or additive to use to prevent it from happening again.
Also, is there somewhere to get the coolant tested periodically
Thanks
Pete

Use diesel antifreeze with the built in DCA, and change it at recommended intervals.

You can buy test strips to test it yourself. Baldwin filter dealers sell them in individual packs. You don't want to buy a bunch of them as they go bad when past the date on the pack. They will also sell DCA/SCA additive.

and also you must have a good rad cap to keep the system under pressure, as that is another big thing to reduce cavitation.

Evans, but you dont really want to spend that much. Rotella ELC is a good product and we run it our trucks here at work, but if you dont want ot spend that much, get a good silicate free, diesel rated green and use an additive, and buy the test strips.

Personally I'd just run green concentrate and distilled water and change it every 2 years. You can change 6 gallons of antifreeze for $33.00.
