Wire welding w/pacemaker

Anybody tried wire welding with a Pace Maker Not with the Pace Maker, If you have a pacemaker?

When I welded at work, we had an inspector with a pacemaker and he told me he couldn't be near a plasma cutter. I would ask your doctor about the wire welding.

I've done that, No problems, but I tried to keep welding away from my device. No welding close to my chest.

You will get conflicting advice from med pros. Also check the Medtronic website.

I have a Medtronic defibrillator/pacemaker and if I get too close to a powerful DC source it beeps. The DC deactivates the pacemaker. Dr. told me "no welding". I assume it's good advice.

The brother in-law has a pacemaker. He can weld just fine with a wire feed. He had to give up TIG and his plasma cutter. The HF from either one will drive his pacemaker crazy.

Same thing my Doc said - 'NO welding" I never bothered to check Med-Tronic's web site.
