Back in the early 60s, I was helping bale oat straw at our neighbor's place. His father-in-law was driving the baler tractor, and I was stacking bales on the rack. Their elevator broke down and they didn't come with an empty rack, so we kept on going. Bale a few, then get up on top and stack. When they finally showed up, the load was too tall to go under the electric wires and into the yard. The neighbor was hopping mad at both of us.

Did that with friends pickup. Stacked so tall had to use a board strapped to top to get under the lines.
I think we had over a hundred bales on it. one ton ford camper special 9ft bed

Years ago cousins and I wanted to see how high we could pile bales on rack. Think we got it to 14 high only to find out we couldn't get out of field under phone wire. Had to throw the top 2 rows off. Oh to
be young again.
