So I go to take a look at it this evening. Double checked that the throttle cable could not be causing it to be stuck. Tractor would not start due to a dead battery. So
#1 does it have to be running to take it out of park??
#2 if try pushing the clutch pedal down if on an incline will it move if stuck in park??
Thanks

I don't think it makes a difference if the engine is running or not when removing the lever from park position. I have had it happen a couple of times on the Magnum 7130 if I forget and park on an uphill grade with a load behind. I did not want to force the lever any harder so I got someone to help. Pull on the lever while I put a vise grip on the park actuator on the outside of the tractor transmission housing. It worked. Not sure how hard you can force that lever before something breaks and I was not about to find out.

Hydraulic clutch pack, does no good to step on the clutch without the engine running. And with the engine running it won't help to get it out of park. If it is on a incline pull it uphill a little to help release the park pawl.

As far as I know, it is strictly a park lever pawl that engages a ring gear that goes around the differential. I would say it is loaded and you might need to relieve the tension one way or another. I think it is on the same shift lever so you cannot put range transmission in any gear to help relieve the tension. Might be wrong as I never became super familiar with those Case tractors they threw at us after merger but am sure it is not like the Deere where you could get it into gear to relieve tension.

i was over to the main farm today and checked the 3394 which is about the same as the 2594 the park goes in and out without the engine running or the clutch pedal down . i was thinking you could try and disconnect the park linkage at the transmission and see if the lever moves in the cab and try and jack up a rear wheel and rock it to see if it comes loose does it have front wheel assist?

Just rear wheel drive. I was thinking I might have to jack up one wheel to free it up but again I am working with a guy who at times due to having a college education thinks he know more about machines then I do but yet I am the one who works on them
