having knotter trouble with this baler , left sides works great , right side , NOT!! can anyone help me? I've been told these IHC balers and their knotters are a pain, no one around heres knows anything about them. they are different from other knotters I know. please let me know if anyone can help and we will go from there . thanks

Hi, does it have the "All Twine" knotters? If not then most likely problem is dull twine knife or twine being poor quality (thick and thin spots). Is the untied twine long enough to go around the bale? If to short the held end of twine could be slipping out of twine holder disk.

YES , ALL TWINE yes the twine is same length as other side , can tie them off , but its a pain. no one really knows about these knotters around here

Hi, unfortunately I can't help you much on "All Twine" knotters as they are usually so good that no one every works on them. All I can say is tip the knotter up, clean all the crap out of it, inspect bill hook for wear and compare it to the working one, sharpen the twine knife. Next put knotter back in place and turn baler over by hand and trip the knotter and watch and compare both knotters. Watch the twine placement in the bill hook and how much tension it takes to trip the bill hook. I can't remember on IH if stripper arm strips the knot off the bill hook or not or only cuts the twine.

Check youtube as there were some good videos a few years ago about how a NH knotter works. The IH "All Twine" knotter is very similar.
PS, my brother has an IH 430 and 435 with "All Twine" knotters and they work perfectly with plastic twine. Therefore I have no experience on them but lots of experience on the old style IH knotters.

Good luck
