Case 2594 stuck in park

So a friend had this 2594 Case that I had to reroute the throttle cable due to the fact some one installed it in such a way it could not be idled down like it should have been able to. My friend say he can not get it out of park. So is it maybe like a the newer cars and you have to push the brake pedal down to get it to go into gear?? Or is it something else wrong with it??
I asked this in the Case forum but have not gotten any answers

I will be messing with it in a few days and hope to have an idea of what to look for by then
 
Old is it on a grade???? I think that you have to power them out like the JD quad ranges if they are on a grade. I am not sure as I have driven few 94 series. Mainly 70 series Case for me and even that was 30 years ago now. LOL time flies.
 
They should just pop right out. So we would need more info. Does the lever move? Could be a cable problem. I've heard of the park paul breaking and loosing park, but not getting stuck except for cable problems not movimg the lever on the side of the tranny. Repost on the case board and I'll ask a couple guys to look at it for you.
 
i had that problem with my 3394 with a 195 NH manure spreader loaded on the ramp in the manure pit .it would stick in park facing up hill we would have to give it a little pull to get it out of park it doesnt take much it sure is easier to pull it than put in a new park pawl
 
It is sitting on what look to be level ground but being here in the Ozarks level can have it at just enough to cause problems. If it is at any incline it is very little
 
I posted this on the Case board at least an hour or more before posting it here. But i did do a typo and instead of saying stuck in park I said stick in park
 
There are less people there so it will take a while to get a response. They will get to you.
