Because you broke a two foot blade off a 72 inch mower.

And why does the mower make such a racket? Because SWMBO ran over a stump and bent a blade. Then there was the chicken wire incident. Then yesterday I caught her starting the yard mowing but didn't have the blades engaged. She didn't know because her ear buds were turned up so loud.

That's what happens when you marry from the city. That engine on her mower can't blow soon enough.

I got too close to a stump. I knew it was there, just got too close. I run the 540 rpm woods pto closer to 600 rpms. The blades are singing in the wind. The good news is only bent the blade, have spares and snapped the bolt, which I got out easier than I thought. Going to cover the stump with dirt on Monday. Lesson learned. Doesn't look like spindle got damaged, I hope. That would be costly and take time to get, special order. geo.

That sounds just like my wife! The first summer we got married, she wanted to mow the lawn, I soon realized it was a lot easier to just do it myself! Now the mower never gets stuck or breaks.

Now guys its OK to marry from the CITY. I admit I lucked out and married a North End Chick. North-End of Dubuque Iowa that is. My wife can and has done about everything on the farm. Told all her friends when she grew up she was going to have a ranch. Well I guess this old pile of dirt is about as close as she will come. This morning we did about a 1/4 mile of Gaucho fence, only complaint was she lost her little bottle of Deet. Don't worry I will find it for her....after all it the only bottle out there....

I cover stumps with a junk tire and a quart of gasoline, light it off just before dark.
