Hydraulic question White 2-60

I recently bough a White 2-60 4wd. I hooked up a mower to the remote cylinders and when I move the lever the lines kind of shudder but no movement on the mower. It also has a bucket in front. Any ideas ?

I only say this because I do it every couple of years
on the hay rake-

Does it have two cylinders? Are you sure that you
have the hoses "paired" to the same remote? If you
accidentally cross hoses you get lots of shuddering
and no moving. I usually drop a few choice words
about how the rake is broken and I don't have time
for this. Then I have Deja vu and switch the hoses
and feel stupid.

Take the end off the fitting that comes from the tractor and hit the hydraulic lever for an instant if you don't have fluid squirt out you have a problem with the tractor if you have fluid its most likely with the couplings. If the system has air you may need to let the hydraulic lines dump some fluid to purge the line.
