another tractor (?)

Hello All;
First of all, to those who remember my discussions of my Ford 8n tractor, it has a new home. When rebuilding the engine became apparent and my skills ran out, fortunately a friend who is a Ford guy suggested that instead of he and I rebuilding the engine, why not sell it to me... the 8n has a new home. But now it is time for me to consider another tractor. I have narrowed it to a Ford NAA, maybe a Jubilee, and an International 300 tractor. I want to run a loader on either unit, or anything else you all suggest. Any thoughts or comments on a new ride for me is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Jump on up to an 801 series instead of the NAA. Many of the 801s have factory power steering and believe you me you will want power steering with a loader. You might even luck out and find one like I have which is an 841S and the S stands for the Sherman combo it has which give you 12 forward speeds which is real nice with a loader

I would second the vote for a 801 with power steering. I have used a 650-641 with a loader and no power steering and you better have a strong arm!

You want loader, then do not consider any without the loader mounted. After you buy a tractor without the loader you will have trouble finding a loader to fit. The NAA would be a lot easier to find a loader for than the 300. The jubilee is a NAA, just the first year of NAA production.

I would stay with a Ford of that vintage. I know a guy with a 300. Some parts are NLA. He is currently looking for good used steering parts and having trouble finding what he wants. With the Fords almost everything is still available either OEM (now CaseIH NH) or aftermarket.

New enough for power steering if you want a loader!

Hello All;
Thanks for your thoughts on my new tractor. I have heard that the steering box is a weak point on the IH 300, 350 units. I like the hyraulic system on the IH tractors and they are about the same power as the Fords. The NAA Fords are a definite upgrade from the 8n tractor, another logical jump is to the 600 and 800 series. Power steering is a desrieable option for a loader, as I will be moving as much snow as dirt with the tractor. I agree that finding one with PS and a loader is my best bet.
Thanks again,
