anybody farm? contracted more beans today $11.18 fall delivery, glad I droped about 100 ac corn ground and went to beans, still have 150 ac corn out

New crop is 10.90 here. I've contracted about 4000 bushels. I'm going to wait and see for the rest. The beans aren't in the bin yet.

I subscribe to marketing service.They said beans in the 8's all year.They said sell old beans and don't sit on them ,there is no news to drive them higher . Maybe 7's at harvest. Banker said dump olds beans , don't sit and wait because the interest will pile up. Dropped 80 acres of cash rented land because 8 dollar beans and 3.50 corn wouldn't pencil out.Talked land lords into selling old crop beans, because no upside in the future. Took less for some than could have had it harvest. Land lords think I am stupid and I paid a market consultant to make myself look stupid and lost 80 acres of land in the wake of it all. SOB

Well you can bet that when all the 'experts' all agree something is going to happen then just the opposite will usually happen.
