This is tractor related.I mowed the "back 40" with the Massey a couple of days ago but I can't get under a lot of the oak trees. I was cleaning up around them on the Cub Cadet this morning and as I went between two trees about 4 feet apart I almost ran over a tiny fawn that mama had hidden in the tall grass. I had just mentioned to a friend that I hadn't seen any yet. Guess the heavy rain has kept them under cover. Seems late for one this young too.

Our grandson was visiting us here in NY from the west last weekend. His Dad told him it was the right time of year to see fawns. Sooo grandpa went out and found one hidden in the grass and ferns on the edge of a field, went and got him and showed him how well they blend in, and how difficult they are to see at times.

Several days ago wife was cleaning out the bed in the front of the house and she thought she saw a rabbit and said "shoo" and a fawn got up and went to the treeline ten feet away. It then returned to hide behind another bush against the house. WE went out too shop for several hours and when we returned in the evening it was gone.
