I have a 40 x 80 coverall that makes great dry storage but is useless in the winter.
The coverall is on a 4 foot stub wall made up 8 x 12 inch treated posts 8 feet into the ground every 10 feet.
They extend 4 feet out if the ground.
If I were to remove the coverall is there any reason why I could not just attach 8 foot walls on top of the stub wall to create a 12 foot wall then add rafters and finish it off.
Already level with a good clay floor.

No reason not to. However your taxes may go up. A coverall is 'portable' ,a frame structure is permanant. Just use adequet
braceing.

Remember that the structure you are proposing will be much heavier than the
coverall.Make sure you have enough 'footprint' for the extra weight. Ben
