I was hacked by win 10. It was downloaded by the time I realized what was going on. So far, so good. Really like the spell check it offers while on YT.

Only issue, I think it slowed my old computer down, loads like I'm on dial up. geo

You will get updates a lot from Microsoft , had it for a year or so . Son bought Me a Apple and I love it
Good luck with windows 10

I mentioned on the other forum, Microsoft is setting up its reminders now to allow the download unless you actually tell it not to. Just closing the reminder is an agreement to go ahead....

Once you get used to it you will like it. I have it AND WOULDNT GO BACK, its faster, loads quicker and is more stable on my machine at least (maybe not on some others, mine has extra memory and is late model). The thing is "some" new software will be set to run on 10 and not older and someday Microsoft will quit supporting older versions. Still to each their own, for me its better and faster but if it don't suit others they should go back............Do as yall please is fine by me

Having problems down loading pics from phone, To my pics, then attach to email. 100 times easier to do on smart phone.

I've been using Win10 for over a year. I got on their insider program. I like it, it's as fast as Win7 that I had before. It does have some features I like and some I don't. I installed it on a new hard drive so I can go back to Win7 by just swapping hard drives.

Many years ago when Win 95 first came out (first edition of Win 95 was unstable), and I asked the IT manager when we were going to move to 95 from 3.1, and his response was "Never". He ended up eating those words, but I cannot recall which lasted longer, his employment, or Windows 3.1, but it was not too long until every pc was running Windows 98 (bypassing 95 on some and first edition of 95 was unstable). I now work administrating anti virus for about 10,000 pc and servers globally, and we are looking to upgrade to 10 by year end. Bottom line it is tough to keep vendor, hardware and software support running an old operating system. Eventually everyone succumbs, unless you run something like linux, but that in itself is a challenge if you are in the business world. I suspect in the next year or so pressure will increase to move to Windows 10, and biggest pressure in business will be lack of patches, and vulnerabilities to old operating systems (XP is no longer patched).

That's what I said the other nite when there was a post about windows 10......I darn near got run out of town. Guess everyone else was wearing their tin-foil hats.

Geo, what browser are you using on Windows 10?
The blue "E" that used to be Internet Explorer isn't anymore.
That is Microsoft's new Edge browser and it can be slow.
The browser may be the slow down you're noticing.

Internet Explorer is still there if you want to use it.
Just type it in your search box and then when it pops up right
click it and select pin to task bar so you have easy access.

You can also use Mozilla's Firefox or Google chrome among
other browsers if you prefer those.

Windows 10 itself is fast and reliable.
I've been using it since the first developer's preview came out.
That was about two years ago now.
Haven't had any issues beyond the slight learning curve.
And it IS a slight learning curve compared to going from XP
to Windows 8. Windows 8 I would not recommend. 8.1 maybe.

I have an Iphone and an Ipad and am forever receiving notices to download upgrades. I have also had operational issues with both. So as far as i'm concerned Apples ain't no better than Winfows machines and cost about 5 times as much. And for those who think Apples aern't vulnerable to virus's or malwhere better think agsin.

I'm not smart enough to use one drive yet, it's on win 10 too.

It's so easy to post a pic to YT using android. 10 times easier typing on laptop. Can't have it all I guess.

I'm an old dog and old dogs don't like learning new things, may not have a choice her. thanks
