Some people

Have a lot of nerve. They decided to thin my
irises without asking. Never had that
happen before

ouch. I've spent 2 seasons putting every iris, day lily, daffodil, and hosta into the strip between the creek and the hard road. As they get established and blooming, I wonder how long it will take before someone thins them like they did yours.

We have a small triangular patch between the road, creek and gravel bank that we started planting thinned out, surplus or donated flowers on. Now there 4 rows of many colors of Iris, Lily, Tulip, Yucca and others that we spray, trim and maintain just for the pleasure of the neighborhood. Anyone can take any flower or dig any plant they want. so far no one has taken anything out.. Your neighbors must be more ambitious

Same happened to me this year for the first time. Beautiful red tulips been blooming every spring for the past 30 years in a bed next to the road.
Someone pulled over at night and dug up 8 of them, bulbs an all.
Guess they needed them more than I do.

Makes me worry about what kind of a person would look at a STOLEN flowering plant and think 'What a beautiful piece of nature that is"

Theres a lot i can put up with but my wife would have located and strung up somebody for messing with her flowers

I do not understand some people either. I could possibly understand grabbing a quick bouquet, but taking the whole plant is a bit much. I feel your aggravation as I have a container garden on my open porch and last year someone decided they needed my peppers more than I did and took the planter and all!

I've had hanging baskets taken right off my front porch before. Some low-lifes even steal flowers out of the cemetery.

That reminds me of when my sister bought a nice Wicker furniture set for her front porch. She woke up the next morning to go out and enjoy the morning just sitting in her new wicker. It, every bit, was gone.

I cut my asparagus every evening after I get home from work. Last night I came home and there was none to cut. I asked my wife and my son if they cut any and they both said no. Didn't see no tracks in the dirt but sure makes me wonder...Been wanting to set up a trail camera so I guess I'll spend the money and invest in one...

Switchflicker,
If anyone wants flowers, I will gladly give it to them starts. Mr. Wilson wanted some.
Gave him all he wanted. I guess you could say he is a stranger, the longer I know him
the stranger he gets. He is cheap too. I bet he told his wife he paid a lot of money
for the flowers. Just kidding, he's a good guy.

It's the idea people steal things that bugs me. Breaking up flowers is good for the
flowers too. I think God put them here for a reason, must have been smiling when he
did it.

The flowers they took multiply like rabbits, more than any other iris. I call it a
universal iris. Will grow in less light than all the rest. Smaller and the last one to
keep it blooms, late bloomer.

Anyone want flowers just ask.
