She had about twice that many, but she stopped to show one of the boys and the rest didn't make it home with her.

I found a few of those last month but never got enough to do any thing with so what I found went bad. Been a very bad years for them down here due to being to dry

Randy,

My wife went up to the "Morel Festival" last weekend in Boyne City, Michigan and called me and said they didn't find any. Truthfully, it was cold and rainy and I don't think they ever got to the woods and I don't think that they grow in the "Cafe Sante." I told her to forget the mushrooms and just stop and pick up a half gallon of Haagen-Dazz Chocolate on the way home and we will celebrate anyway.

Here in Central Ohio the season seemed short and sparse,,I seen a guy that said he found a pile of them I Springfield Ohio last weekend,, I'm wondering if the season is behind a bit this year,it's been cool, and down to 28 last night here a mild frost..I don't know these people,, or even if it's true that they found them last week,,you never really know on face book,,,"But" I do know I wish they were mine...

Read your post, yelled across the house that someone about 2 hours north found mushrooms, and a couple o mins later the came in with 3.

We had a small crop here in semn. I sold 11 lbs in three days, covered about 300 acres! That is why they were paying 20 bucks a pound. Way too cool and dry for them around here this year.

If you only find a few you can string them on a thread where they aren't touching and hang them like laundry. They'll dry out and will keep fine until you find more. Just soak them in water for a little while when you're ready to use them.
