I have a Du-all loader on my International 856 that the cylinders drip fluid. How hard is it to replace them? It doesn't look bad but wondering if there are any tricks to it or things to look for. Also, how hard is it to find replacement cylinders. Not sure the model number of the loader as it is pretty rusted.

Unless your cylinders are bent or damaged beyond repair, you'll want to just replace the seals instead of replacing them.

You can have them repaired at a hydraulic shop or replace the seals yourself. Some ate tricky to disassemble, some are easy and obvious.

I have a Du-Al Model 200. All of the cylinders were leaking to some degree. I got new seal kits from my Woods dealer and replaced them myself. Not too bad a job.

If the cylinders don't leak on my terramite, I wait for tomorrow. I go to my local hydraulic shop and get the two O rings that commonly cause my leaks. After you learn gthe tricks, it's easy. I even made a belt sander to polish my rods. Look closely for nicks in rod. I Use brake hone to clean the rust from the end of the cylinder.

Going to own a loader get used to repairing hoses and cylinders.

You will go into sticker shock when you find out how much new ones are. geo
