My old dog loves the wood stove. And my recliner is only about 6-7 feet away , so I guess you could say I enjoy a bit of warm too. Darn cool here tonight, could get some snow they say.

There was a skiff of ice on the bird baths last night here in northwest Iowa. We had the heat on for sure. Mamma and I don't cuddle much anymore.

The fire looks relaxing. We have been a lot cooler here than normal too. It's not been as cool as you but lo to mid 40's for North AR s pretty cool for May. Even with the cool temps it's been perfect hay weather. The humidity has been in the 20-30% range. That's something we hardly ever see.

yes sir ,loox like a single dog nite there , bruce ,,, got the fireplace going here in southern ind to take the chill out of this early march weather in the middle of may

Wife and I just came in from the shop. Been sitting in front of the wood stove for the last hour.

Hot here today here in Florida. Wife is in Durham spending a few days with the daughter. Said the weather was cool there today. Wish I was there with them

Bruce we are getting down to the mid to low thirties. So you fellows further north are really going to be cool. There will be a bunch of corn get the tops trimmed. These cold snaps are about the only time I miss the indoor wood stove. It was nice to heat up real fast.

That's just nutz ! It was warm and sunny here today - waay over normal - my freakin' lawn is already turning 'golden' - at least 1.5 months ahead of normal ! Sunshine Coast, B.C. It is now clouding over and rain is predicted. Weird ! !

Will do. We were enjoying the fire and I was talking about how there will only be 3 months this year that we won't have a fire in the shop.

They posted frost warnings here in west Michigan for tonight. Temps never got out of the low 40's all day...

Had a perfect rain Friday...eight tenths of an inch....got a heavy rainfall overnight..inch and a quarter...corn and says are in pools of water in places...wet snow and snow to nite. ..if it does not drown, it may just get frozen. And the dog was whining to come in, so he too is sharing the warmth. Can't wait for the challenging weather we are sure to have at having time ....siigghh

Ya Bob. It's pretty dry here across the straight from you in Ladysmith. I was hoping for a bit of rain keep the dust down on my roads around the cranberry fields.

My son and I just mowed the lawn...the only thing good about the lack of moisture is that I only need to mow it once a week and can probably stop sweeping the clippings now.

The other night I lit the corn stove again because it was cold and rainy. Probably let it run out of corn on Sunday. Every cold snap I keep hoping it is the last time I have to run it until next Nov. It's nice heat like wood without all of the work and expense.

Good lookin
Brindle, Mastiff? me and mine, Springer Spaniel Luci were at the beach today enjoying the sun and sand and tennis ball. Sorry don't mean to gloat but we are in California and my JD Mod A is still stuck in gear or some god awful other thing. Maybe I'd like a little cool and a nice fire!

Nephew in ND said that it got down to 24 degrees at his place. First crop of alfalfa all turned black as soon as the sun came up yesterday morning.

Cool here in TH, In. 40 this morning, 39 tonight. Was going to plant tomatoes and peppers, but going to wait until Monday to take them out of the greenhouse and plant, weather pending.

I'm in no hurry to plant them in the garden. Years ago on Menorial Day, I had my peppers frost off. That was before we had gobal warming. We were headed for an impending ice age in the 70's.

I just brought wood up so the wifey can lite the fireplace. Looks like a couple days of cool weather again. The wood pile just keeps shrinking.
