Pin hole leak.

Went to use my Jubilee to mow the lawn with. On the floor is a puddle of oil and oil is dripping for one of the bolts that hold the fender on. I removed the bolt and there was a pin hole in the bracket that the bolt goes trough.

The pic is the bottom view of the axle. If you look closely at the hole the bolt goes through, you will see a black speck inside the hole. That's the pin hole.

Why did it take 63 years for a casting flaw to leak?

How would you fix it?

I left the bolt out and stuffed a paper rag in hole to mow with.

How about cleaning it real good and then add some JB weld to it and smooth up when dry. Looks like there has been a lot of moisture there through the years.

I had engine oil all over the side of the 2-135 when I was working oat ground with it. That one was leaking around the metal ring on the oil pressure sensor. You wouldn't think something like that, sitting that low on the side of the block could spread that much oil all over the tractor like that did.

My 1600 gets the same problem. Out a new sending unit in and within the year, that one is leaking oil too. I gotta find an old original sending unit. I replaced it when I rebuilt it years ago, want anything wrong with it. Think I can find it now? Nope.
