Deere 24T needle lift shaft shims

Last summer crashed my 24T and bent tucker shaft and broke the boss on the intermittent gear where the roller for tucker shaft actuator. I'm swapping left knotter for right along with it's intermittent gear, figured they wear together so best to keep them mated. It seems everything has shifted a little putting it all back together. Is there instructions somewhere on where the knotter frames and intermittent gears should be aligned/shimmed? I have the Operator Manual and goes through the timing procedure and settings for clearance between billhook pinion and twine disc pinion but nothing that I see on setting the right-left position of the knotters themselves. I'm only going on the existing position of the hole in the knotter mounting brackets.

Is the 24T like the 14T? Many of the components of the 14T are made of malleable iron, which means that it can be bent cold for fine adjustments. MY Dad grew up with binders so he knew how to adjust the knotters and needles. Are there any old timers around that can show you how to adjust malleable iron? It should be bent cold, not hot.

You center the needles in the slots of the bale case, top and bottom best you can. Then set knotter frame to the needle (needles raised
up to the knotter) and then the intermittent gear to the knotter.
