Rear tractor tire is getting old (23 years, 5000hrs) and has a few small splits in the side wall. It sprung a leak this week, and we are trying to boot it and patch the tube to make it through the season before giving the tractor new shoes this next winter.
My question is... The repair boot/patch has an arrow left and right that says "Bead"
Are you supposed to point this at the bead perpendicular to the bead and the other side of the arrow goes around the tread perpendicular to the other bead?
Or Does that show the bead direction, and the arrows would stay parallel with the bead going round the tire.
Thanks.
