5210 brakes.

Hi Guys. I have a JD 5210 that I use for cutting hay. I cut with a Krone disc cutter and after about 45 minutes of cutting I start losing my brakes and my steering starts getting jerky. I changed the hydraulic fluid and filter and it still does it.If I continue cutting my brakes will just go to the floor. After it cools everything is fine until it heats up again. Can anyone give me some idea as to what the problem might be? Thanks for the help.

Did you clean the pick-up screen, which is located back were you connect the PTO? Here is link to the operator's manual. The pick-up screen is in section 125.

When I cleaned mine, it was hard to get out, but it did come out.

I didn't even know about it. You have given me some great info and a new site. Thank you so much. I'll get that done next week and let you know how it turned out.

Here is a link to JD parts and you can look up the screen it is part number R128746. Handle with care since it costs $150. I have included a picture of the hydraulic system, that may help you.
