Wood and such

Cut a load of firewood today, yesterday, and the day before. However, the machinist is finishing up rebuilding a PTO shaft for my bush hog today. Gotta go back in the bone yard and find a couple of tires that look like they might still hold air and get the bush hog up and running now. Got an old pasture that needs to be hogged off now or it is going to take a dozer and rock rake to recover the field if it goes any longer. Gotta service the 1955. The bushings in the 4WD unit pivots are about wore out. Gotta change them. Fix a fuel leak and such. Firewood has to wait now. More important things to do. Got my permit to redo the roof on the entry to my house, so I gotta get some lumber cut, too. Jeff looked at a used double-wide today. It is bigger than he needs, but the price is right. He's going to talk with a local carpenter he went to school with and get an estimate on building a house also. The jumping through the hoops process has begun.

Sounds like we're in the same boat Don. I'm trying to brush hog, fix fence, reroof a shed, build a wood shed and loafing shed, finish my loader for the DB 990, fix a MF65/Case VAC and 800, put down an floor in the entry way and fix 3 garden tractors! Then, after breakfast, I move on to............

Hey Larry,

She is able to do her time at work alright. She's pretty sore when she gets home. Caught her carrying a concrete block across the yard a couple of days ago. We had a little discussion right on the spot about how long she would be laid up if the Docs had to go in a do surgery on the foot because it didn't heal properly. About a half hour later, her foot let her know in no uncertain terms that she shouldn't have done that. I believe she learned her lesson. But other than that she is doing fine. Drives her nuts that she can't do her normal work, though.

Yup!

Told my wife that after she retires this Fall I'm going to have to go back to work to get any rest! She gives me "the look" and then sez, "You betchya!"

I'm doomed.(chuckle)
