OT dog bone in tree by back porch

If you can't tell, there is a bone in the bow of this tree. It's about 10 feet off the ground. I saw it a few days ago and figured that Cathy had tossed it up there for whatever reason. I saw it on the ground yesterday but today it was back up there again. I asked her about it and she didn't know what I was talking about. We decided that either our resident squirrel, (who is almost under death sentence for garden issues now), or George the cat who would do this for grins, must be putting it there. gm

I see a ton of bones at the base of tree when walking through the woods. I think squirrels and other small mammals chew on them for the calcium.

I had a dog when I was a kid that loved to play with snakes. One day I watched her throw a live snake on the roof of the pole barn(12 foot eve). Seeing as this has happened a couple times, I'm guessing a rodent is assisting it up there.
